After successful design, development and deployment efforts, ORSTAT was put to the test at a major medical teaching institution in New York. The results and reaction were exactly as I thought, but with a few added surprises like:
• The Housekeeping Team actually gamified this and brought the results of their competition to the OR Manager!
• Duplication of Housekeeping teams showing up at the same room no longer happened.
The original intent of this product was fully realized as a significant reduction in Turnover Time was achieved in the 4 week test vs. Operating Rooms that did not use the ORSTAT software.
